Craters of the Moon

This one may be considered a cheater. We drive through Crater's of the Moon often when we travel home to our families. This time we actually stopped. I think the last time I stopped here was when I was first married and we were traveling the opposite direction to visit my grandparents. I read in some article recently that in Idaho Craters is considered an "over sold" attraction but if you have never been there you will be amazed at the wonders it holds. We never go in the summer for it is way, WAY to hot. Fall and Spring are perfect times to go.

My photographer was having a hard time getting the camera right on my phone...pretty sure he did it on purpose.
Again, this is a great place to go walk around. Bring lots of water to drink and watch out for wildlife!

A Table has Been Commissioned

I have challenged myself to build four new pieces of furniture. Well, a table has been commissioned. I am really excited. It is similar to my dining table but bigger and the table top is going to be challenging. I have to make room for glass inlays. Yea...challenging but it will be amazing when it is finished. I only have the pedestals done so far. The table top is needing some added measurements and thinking.

There have been a few hick-ups in the process but we are ironing them out. There is another table these were almost stolen for but now I am going to build some legs similar to these to fit under the other conference table. Won't be a complete project so I'm undecided if it will count towards my four projects to mark this one off my list or not.

What do you think? Should we count it or not? Maybe you should see the project first!!

Our First Magnet

We got our first magnet from Las Vegas as we spent some time knocking off a few things from my list. Meats, Dives and More! My little ones wanted to hold it for the picture!

Two Dinners One Night

One of the nights of the conference was supper uncomfortable. If any of you know my husband well you know he likes to prove the impossible is not so impossible and most of the time I get to tag along. We had the awards dinner in which the company was up for an award. We needed to be there. It was the same night as the Powercode dinner. Powercode does a dinner at a fancy restaurant called the Voodoo. Amazing food! Nathan didn’t want to miss it. Challenge accepted!

After the soup I was done! I even just ate fruit at the first dinner. I wasn't even hungry then. Yet, I was presented with picture two...I hate my mentality of not being wasteful! It is just a lot of work! It was good and I rolled myself to my room that night and was uncomfortable. Those Prawns...they were huge!

DIVE in Ely, Nevada

My first dive was so yummy!

We were traveling to Las Vegas some time ago for a conference and were starving about Ely, Nevada. My dad had recommended a diner that was downtown. So we ventured off the main roads and headed downtown. What an amazing place. The visual history is amazing in Ely, Nevada.

Well, the diner had been turned into a Denny's. That doesn't count as a dive in the rules of my 40x40 challenge. I mean, we know what to expect of the menu. So we had to pass it up. On the way back to the main road we found a little place that looked like it had just opened. We decided to try it out. FANTASTIC food. I chose the roast beef fried and Nathan had a roast beef sandwich. So yummy! And their pineapple sunday was really good, too.

I recommend Hunters to anyone driving through Ely!
